 Biography: David Gemmell was born in London, England 1948.
At the age of 16 he was expelled from school for organizing
a gambling syndicate. He then became a labourer and later
a free lance journalist.
By night he worked as a bouncer making
extra money. His first book was Legend, published in 1984.
Since then he has writen a great number of books, working
his way up to the top of current fantasy.
